Heritage Homestead

A few months ago I heard about Heritage Homestead from a friend and immediately became interested in visiting. So, last Saturday we loaded up and drove north to meet our dear friends, the Putnam's for a day at the homestead. It was just beautiful weather and the kids all had so much fun. It was a really great day. We saw a blacksmith, woodworking/furniture making, pottery making and ate some really delicious food.

The gristmill is completely powered by water & here is a distant picture of the water wheel at work.

Connor & Elijah at 11 months & 13 months.
This turkey was GIANT! It was also all puffed up to show off for a female companion.

Connor & Matt checking out the farm birds.

Connor had so much fun he had to take a break mid-day.
All in all, it was a fun filled & educational field trip! Great Fall Fun!
