A Stop at the Park

We are getting antsy for Spring weather and playing outside so we stopped at the city park today. Twenty minutes was about all we (I) could stand with the cold wind but it was worth it. The boys need to run and exercise. Connor mastered this climbing tower and was able to step across onto the jungle gym after only two attempts with me helping and coaching. He was really brave and that makes me so glad. I would rather temper his fearless courage than push him to try new things all the time.

Cameron is unaware that his capabilities are not equal to his brother's. He lives under the impression that if he sees Connor do it, he can too. So I have to stick right by his side or face the likely possibility of an ER trip.

He was able to climb nearly to the top without help and across the gap. His upper body strength or coordination - I'm not sure which - was what kept slowing him down. He has figured out that the tongue is quite helpful in situations that require physical strength.

Please forgive the poor quality pictures. They were taken with my phone.
