Okay, this really shouldn't make you cry. These silly boys of mine have had some fun playing in the water this week. On Sunday we did a Sink or Float Experiment. I filled a plastic tub with water and gave the boys a variety of items to put in. Before they could drop their item they had to guess if it would sink or float. I gave them things like plastic army men, coins, balls, potatoes, etc. They had a blast.
Next, today we "fished" for letters and numbers. I made make-shift fishing poles with woodenspoons and magnets and the boys fished out magnetic letters and numbers from my bathtub.Again, it was a big hit! I had Connor tell me the letters he was picking up and he probably gotabout half of them right!
Now I want to clarify that I did not come up with this idea on my own. I only wish I were so creative. I found it on Pinterest.
